As we have covered in previous posts, about your Home Page, Home Search, and Community Pages, there are a few more pages you need to create before your real estate website is ready to go. These two pages are simple and easy to create so don’t worry. First of all we need to discuss who you are as a person and real estate agent, then we need to focus on how people will be contacting you.
Creating an “About Us” Page
Potential clients want to know who they are working with. Not only does this include a professional looking picture, but also they might be curious about you in general. These things could include your past reputation as an agent, how old you are, the length you have been an agent, or even just general things about you that might tell them more about your personality. It is important for the reader to be interested in who they will potentially be working with. Agents need to represent themselves as both professionals and also being friendly and helpful.
Within this page is also a great place to put testimonials from your previous clients, if they feel inclined to write an honest post about you. This can help, or deter (if you have received bad comments) new clients.
Once a potential client has gone through your site, read your “About Us” page, and made up their mind, the next step is contacting an agent. Why they might be calling is not important, as anything could be a potential lead. Though your phone number should be present on the home page, it is important to create a section within each page where people may have a question. You can create a singular page that is primary focused on this. Within WordPress there is a plugin that allows you to create simple forms for anyone to fill out. This, followed by common questions and answers, can make up the whole of the page. Nothing else is required or needed for a Contact Page on your Real Estate Website, though you could add links to social media if you choose.
The only other necessary piece of information is the location of your office if you require a place to meet. Having a Map plugin here also helps as it saves people having to search for the address themselves.
